Introduction to Python



Python is a powerful multiparadigm computer programming language.It was created by Guido van Rossum. Python is optimized for programmers productivity, code readablilty and software quality.

Python’s name is derived from a very famous television series “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”.

Source code of Python is available under the GNU General Public License(GPL).
Major implementations of python are CPython, PyPy, IronPython, Jython etc.

Python is a platform independent language which supports object oriented functionalities like polymorphism, operator overloading and multiple inheritance. It  is completely free which makes it very popular among beginners. Python has an extraordinary simple syntax which makes it very easy to learn. Many users find its syntax much more english-like than other scripting languages.
Python provides the simplicity and ease to use of scripting language along with more advanced software engineering tools typically found in complied language.
Major use of Python are as system programming language, as GUI, internet scripting language, for component integration, database programming language, rapid prototyping, and for numeric and scientific programming. Power of Python can be analysed by big names in its major users like Google ,Yahoo, Youtube , DropBox, BitTorrent, Intel.

Python is most demanded language and has greatest scope  over other language in industries.
